Short Bio: Timothée has been building synapses between human beings since 1983. As a passionate software developer, a coach, and a mentoring advocate, he takes profound joy in stepping on toes and pushing people to think about their journey. When the sun is up, he acts as the Vice President of Engineering for the proptech scale-up WeMaintain, remotely from his hometown of Nuremberg, Germany, and spends as much time as he can with his wife and with [1;3] kids clutched on his back! But when the moon rises, he hosts the Software Developer's Journey podcast and collects developer's life stories like others gather stamps or Pokemons to help create more diverse role-models in our industry.

Tim comes in five flavors that heavily overlap

  1. Mentoring Advocate
  2. Engineering Leader
  3. Public Speaker
  4. Technical Agile Coach
  5. Conversational Podcast Host

Mentoring Advocate

Mentoring can be reduced to the art of helping one person grow. Both as a mentor and as a mentee, this is the much-needed booster for your career and your life alike.

As a long-time mentee, I can appreciate how important and life-changing it is to have a guide beside you on your life journey. As a long time mentor, I have grown while trying to help others and I try to give back as much as my mentors gave or are giving me. As a mentoring advocate, I try to promote mentoring as a tool for communities and companies interested in the growth of their members.

If you want to know more about mentoring, contact me. If you are interested in pushing mentoring in your circles and don't know where to start, I can help. If mentoring has crossed your path already and you want to talk about it, I'd be delighted to have a chat with you! Please gett in touch!

Engineering Leader

As an engineering leader, I make sure my coworkers have all they need to succeed. Following the eXtreme Programming and Spine Model learnings, it means following the chain of Needs & Purposes, Values, Principles, Practices and Tools and making sure that alignment, autonomy and ownership is present every step of the way. The organisations I lead are decentralized and responsible of the business they create.

As a former Chief Learning Officer, I take pride in crafting learning organisations. I recognize there is no one-size-fits-all solution to growing as a person. As such I supervise the creation of a "tools buffet" that my colleagues can use to enrich their own journey. Do you want to know more about those tools? Please get in touch with me!

Technical Agile Coach

Team forming, technical excellence, self-organization, sustainable pace, customer value, business agility, coaching, moderation, facilita, technicalical excellence, mastery, eXtreme Programming, Code Quality, DevOps, Clean Code... many challenges you will face on your path toward agility.

As an Agile Coach, I enable development teams. I coach individuals and whole teams. I create sustainable systems where outstanding results and fun are the norms. I build on excellence and clean code. I preach work in pairs or mobs. I trust coaching and mentoring between peers. I advocate craftsmanship. Those are the pillars of my coaching. As an Agile Coach, I help management reflect on practices and decisions. I guide projects and organizations toward business agility.

Do you need a coach for your teams? A senior scrum master? Help to scale your teams? A sparring partner for your managers? Someone, to accompany the organization toward excellence? We should talk!

International Public Speaker

Outstanding coworkers are not born this way. Becoming one takes a lot of hard work. It requires dedication, introspection, mindfulness, mentoring, coaching, and human interactions. This is not an accidental process.

There is not one path to greatness, no silver bullet, no magic recipe, and no shortcuts. Growing is a personal journey. Yet there is a map, a set of best practices and known pitfalls that one can acknowledge and build upon.

I've encouraged and inspired people in Germany and across Europe. I’ve presented to audiences both large and small. I spoke in a variety of settings and contexts in three languages, German, English, and French.

I would love to learn more about your organization and your event. I look forward to working together to reach your goals! Get in touch!

Conversational Podcast Host

In 2014, after interviewing and rejecting 20 candidates, I started questioning my skills, sanity, and expectations. So I decided to interview successful developers. I wanted to know what skills matter to them, what mindset attracts them, and what a successful developer might be. Their answers contained their life stories, and those were amazing. So I decided to record them. Thus, the Software Developer's Journey podcast was born.

Fast forward a few years, the show is running as strong as ever. I recorded more than 200 unique stories with developers from all around the world and publish them weekly on DevJourney.info.
